Back in the old days, the nordic people would name gods for themselves, in a effort to believe in a higher power. One day they met a draconian named Darkblade and they assumed he was one of their gods, and it is true that draconians are very god-like, however they are not gods. However despite all of the human beliefs, the draconians did not pay any attention to the human race. All draconians are actually alive in another part of space being a much more advanced specie and all, however if they are discovered by a human they will assume that all humans know, and a war will ensu and frankly unless humanity wants total extinction they should not go looking. Many humans think that the draconians either don't exist or they died off, in truth humanity bored them.
